IM Awards Dec 2003ERIC-on-LineThis project has been 100% effective in pioneering on-line data entry and result analysis via the web within the NHS. We have seen
"We can not now imagine collecting data without the system that we now have in use. We would need substantial extra funds to cover for extra staff, processing and postage." (NHS Estates, now HSCIC, comment)
With comments such as the above, perhaps it should not be a surprise to find ourselves listed as finalists in the Information Management 2003 (IM2003) awards. "This project" has involved Asckey Data Services Ltd in building and hosting data collection services for HSCIC, an agency of the Department of Health. The data collected provides the basis of much of the strategic planning in respect of buildings and general Estates Management at all levels from local NHS Trusts through to the Department of Health itself. We believe that, certainly within the timescale of the project development shortlisted, this has been the only successful development of large scale data collection and analysis that has gone into use within the Department of Health. As a major UK sales partner for Data Access Worldwide, we would pay tribute to the Data Access product range Visual Dataflex and Web Application Server that play a large part in all our projects. Visual DataFlex Web Application Server has proved capable of handling high volume Web based data entry, and complex processing and reporting with ease. |
With Eric-on-Line we were acknowledged as the first sucessful on line, web based data collection system built for the Department of Health |
